.NET Framework Utility Collection

Last Update: Tue, 03/08/2011 - 22:00
Product Type: Library
Operating System: Windows

Microsoft's .NET Framework is wonderfully comprehensive, but using it can still be made easier by virtue of additional utility classes and methods. That's pretty much what you'll find in this package.

This is a heterogeneous collection of things I've written to help me in my own application development. It's all documented in a CHM help file, which you can download separately to peek inside before you download the whole enchilada.

You can grab the source code tree via subversion as a Visual Studio 2010 solution, which also includes the documentation source code as a separate Sandcastle Help File Builder project (i.e., the SHFB project is not part of the Visual Studio solution).

If you download the documentation file, please remember to unblock it before using it, because otherwise it won't work (this is a Windows safety feature on XP-and-later versions of Windows). Right click on the downloaded file, select Properties, and then click the Unblock button.

Since I haven't gotten around to configuring views in this Drupal installation I'm just going to update this entry to point to a bug-fix release which resolves a number of problems, some of which prevented database selection wizards from running.

There's an article about the WPF Wizard framework piece of the library up on CodeProject at http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WPF/wizard.aspx.

Version
0.5.2
OS Version
XP or later (must support .NET Framework 4)
Release Notes

Revised the way the "root" path for resource objects is determined in the ResourceFileSystem. The earlier implementation made assumptions about the relationship between the root path and the name of the assembly being scanned which were ad hoc.

The help file from version 0.5.1 still applies.
